MCPS Advocacy

The BES Cluster Representatives and MCCPTA Representatives collaborate with their counterparts from other schools to advocate on issues impacting the Whitman Cluster and MCPS. To this end, the Whitman Cluster periodically corresponds and meets with MCPS and the Board of Education. Representative gather information about what is happening across the school system to share with BES PTA members and provide our perspective during discussions at the county level. Representatives from the Whitman Cluster also testify at public hearings before the MCPS Board of Education and Montgomery County Council on MCPS’s Operating and Capital Improvement Budgets.
