For community members who are unable to attend a regional public meeting on the districtwide boundary analysis, MCPS has made an online version of the presentation available. The presentation is organized into video sections. Each section includes specific areas for feedback.

Topics include: The A to Z’s of Section 504 Plans; Parent Preparation for an Individualized Education Program Meeting; Strategies for Supporting a Student with Anxiety; and Practical Communication Skills to Use with Your Preschooler. Community Meetings on the State of Education in Montgomery County
MCPS is hosting two community meetings on education topics like academic readiness, career pathways, and work-based learning opportunities that take students from Pre-K to Job. Presenters include Craig Rice, Montgomery County Councilmember and Chair of the Education & Culture Committee, Dr. Jack Smith, Superintendent, MCPS, Dr. DeRionne Pollard, President, Montgomery College, and Dr. Stewart Edelstein, Executive Director, Universities at Shady Grove. The sessions will take place:
- Tuesday, January 28, 2020 – 6:30pm @ Montgomery College – Germantown Campus Bioscience Educational Center – Room 151. 20200 Observation Drive, Germantown
- Wednesday, March 4, 2020 – 6:30pm @ Northwood High School – Cafeteria. 919 University Boulevard, Silver Spring
