Welcome! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and that your family is ready for a great school year ahead. My name is Sarah Hurt and I am excited to be serving my second year as PTA President. I have a daughter, Logan, in second grade (and a 5-year-old son at Bannockburn Nursery School).
In addition to the back-to-school information that BES has sent, I’d like to share details about upcoming PTA events, important dates, and ways to join. You’ll also find more information below about volunteer opportunities!

Membership dues and donations help fund the PTA events and in-school programs that make our community thrive. MEMBERSHIP
This year, rather than putting most of our focus on traditional fundraising programs, we’ll be looking to create more events that bring our families together in a fun and engaging way and raising funds through more direct asks and tiered membership levels. This approach allows us to continue funding the important projects we champion and provide the invaluable support our teachers and school rely on — all while keeping our energy on strengthening the ties that make Bannockburn such an amazing place to learn and grow.
We hope that you will all give as much as you are able. We look forward to a wonderful year!

MEETINGS
Tuesday, September 30th, 7pm
First PTA Meeting
Our first meeting of the year will take place in the cafeteria and Ms. Serino will be there to talk about school-related topics and to answer questions. This is also an opportunity for you to hear about the various PTA activities for the coming year!
VOLUNTEER
No PTA activity would be possible without our dedicated Bannockburn volunteers. We are so lucky to have a strong volunteer base, but we always need more and I welcome all of you to become a part of that base and to strengthen it! New BES families to join us in the BES All-Purpose Room/Cafeteria to meet fellow parents and guardians, PTA board members, and administrators.
FRIDAY, September 12th, 5pm – 7pm.
Back-to-School Picnic
A relaxed evening for kids to play and parents to connect. Look for a flyer in your child’s backpack with details. Look for a flyer in your kid’s backpack with more information about this fun event!
Saturday, October 4th, 4pm -6pm
International Fair
Celebrate our diverse BES community with international food, music, games, and more! Families are encouraged to host a table or cultural display.
