Math Day & Science Night
Math Day
During normal years, the BES PTA sponsors an amazing parent-run Math Day. Over 100 BES parents volunteer so that ALL BES kids are able to participate in incredibly fun math games and problem solving at a grade appropriate level.
For those who are new to all this, Math Day is a unique and long-standing Bannockburn tradition. Generations of PTAs, Parents and Principals have supported Math Day and its message that Math can be fun for everyone. We fill the gym with dozens of games for all ages and ability levels; parents (grandparents, older siblings, etc.) work the tables; the children visit with their classrooms.
Science Night
During normal years, the BES PTA also sponsors a Science Night. Science Night is a mix of student science fair projects and parent/scientist led experiments.
