Bannockburn Elementary PTA

The Earth Day Team, led by Katy Levine, did an incredible job pivoting at the last minute due to weather and was able to bring in the Director of the Glen Echo Park Aquarium who does amazing school outreach programs. The theme of the presentation was Chesapeake Critters, and the fabulously engaging, interactive talk involved live animals (crabs, clams, etc.),

Thanks to the amazing work of Steven Solomon and David Hecht our sign got spruced up with some wonderful plants.  It looks absolutely fantastic!

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is entering phase two of its boundary study, beginning a period focused on data analysis and initial community communication for a study that will impact 19 high schools.  If you would like to learn more about this process and its potential impact, please see the link here.

Our last community service activity of the year takes place during Mayfair! Students can make cat and dog toys to benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance. Join us for MAYFAIR! Bannockburn’s annual carnival! Bring the whole family! There will be rides, games, music, prizes, food, treats, and of course a DUNK TANK! Purchase Student Bracelets, Order Pizza, and Sign-up to Volunteer HERE (on the Membership Directory Site). PURCHASE BRACELETS NOW:Student bracelets are $20 until Thursday, May 8th at 9pm, after that $30. Adults and kids preschool age & younger are FREE!
