Thanks to all of our fundraising this year, Bannockburn ES is finally getting a digital sign!! We are the last school in the Whitman cluster without a digital sign. The PTA will be creating a grant for the school to help fund this purchase. MCPS has let us know that the sooner we can move forward the better. As such,

Mayfair is NEXT week!  Friday, May 10th from 5-8 PM at BES.  We will have brand new games, inflatables, face painting, food trucks, and so much more!  There will even be a Dunk Tank featuring some of our amazing BES parents and staff, including Dr. O & Ms. Viereck!!!   Bracelets are $20 for students until THURSDAY, May 9th at 5pm and $30

The BES PTA is launching its Diversity Book Drive! Our goal is to continue building an environment of belonging by filling Bannockburn’s media center with a diverse world of books for our kids to read, learn, and engage in.  Our media specialists have aggregated a list of books they’d like to include in their center. On Wednesday, May 1st at 5:30pm in the BES all-purpose room, there will be a community meeting with Jewel Sanders (Director of Office of School Support and Well-Being) to discuss the process of selecting a new principal. Parents are encouraged to attend to provide input and share feedback on the characteristics they would like to see in the new principal.
