Since our students learned about a lot of strong women during Women’s History Month, we decided to do a service project for the House of Ruth, a DC-based nonprofit whose ultimate goal is to empower survivors of domestic violence to break the cycle of abuse and live independently, safely, and with dignity. Thank you to everyone who is participating in the March Madness fundraiser! We raised over $750 for the PTA! Right now the Schwemlein family is leading the way, but Tommy Danielson or Felix McSweeney could take the lead with a Purdue win. Stay turned to find out who takes home the grand prize after this weekend’s games!

Come and celebrate Eid al-Fitr (Eid) with the BES community! Eid commemorates the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in which Muslims fast daily from before dawn until sunset.  Join us at Bannockburn to learn about the Muslim culture, enjoy tasty snacks, and get to know our diverse community better.
