The BES PTA’s Annual Fund campaign is going strong–running from now to the end of December, funds raised will support educational resources and school events that spark our students’ creativity and bring families closer.  Our goal for this year’s Annual Fund Campaign is $10,000. It’s a big goal, but we know how strong Bannockburn is when we pull together!  Your donations will support:

The Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA) Technology Committee invites all families to share your views regarding use of school-issued Chromebooks! Parents have reached out to us to express their concerns, and we wanted to provide a way for individuals to share their specific concerns, and also collect data and testimonials to share with MCPS and the Board of Education.

PTA General Membership Meeting Tuesday, December 2nd @ 7-8pm in the BES APR/Cafeteria

As you heard on Principal Serino’s Sunday update, the PTA hosted an amazing assembly last week where Grammy-Nominated beatboxer Christlyze Bacon and six-string electric cellist Wytold introduced our Bobcats to a fusion of classical music and hip hop. This culminated in a performance of “Golden” from K-Pop Demon Hunters (a BES favorite) and the spark of recognition and excitement among the young fans was incredible! Watch

CAN We Make it to 1,000? We have almost reached 75% of our goal of collecting 1,000 food items for Manna Food Center, a food bank serving families in Montgomery County.   We are SO appreciative for the efforts and generosity displayed by our BES families, and even members of our broader Bannockburn community, who have also showed up to help us

MCPS is conducting a second survey to help guide decisions for the 2026-27 school calendar.  Survey responses are due by November 30.  The survey asks about three different calendar options (Drafts A, B, and C), all of which have the same spring break (March 26 to April 2).  Tell MCPS what you think!  Https://forms.gle/Jg3P9eQEMaByftu47

Thank you so much to all those who participated in the Book Fair – volunteering your time, attending Literacy Night, and buying items.  The PTA wants to send a VERY special thank you to Vidya Putcha and Meaghan Tischler who took on the role as Book Fair Co-Chairs for the first time without a hitch, making it look easy and definitely fun.

Enrollment: Drama Club is open to kids in grades 3-5. For safety and enjoyment purposes, we have to cap enrollment at around 60 kids. Junior Designers program is open to 5th graders who want to to learn about the technical aspects of theater (vs. appearing on stage). We’ll need at least 5 Jr. Designers to make the program work, and will
