Artist-in-Residence for K/1st

During the week of November 13th, Maria Weaver, a visual artist from Arts for Learning Maryland, will be completing a residency with our kindergarten and 1st grade classes. Classes will complete 4 sessions with Ms. Weaver throughout the week to learn about bead making, specifically in regard to Ghanaian culture. Drama Club

It’s Showtime! We are thrilled to announce the start of this year’s BES Drama Club. Join OnCue Theatre (formerly Virtual Cue) and your BES friends for an incredible theatrical adventure. No theater background required, all 3rd – 5th graders are welcome. Drama club is a great way to be a part of a cherished BES tradition!  Enrollment opens November 17th.

Science Fair Lead Needed!

We are looking for a parent to be the lead for the science fair on January 19th.   The science fair is open to 4th and 5th graders.  The time-commitment is fairly minimal—largely compiling registrations and assigning tables—so it’s a great way to “experiment” as a PTA volunteer!
