Wheel-a-Thon for Muscular Dystrophy
Join the 2nd annual BES PTA Wheel-a-Thon for Muscular Dystrophy.
When? June 1, 2019, 9 am – 10am
Where? Clara Barton Community Center in Cabin John
Have fun, exercise, and win some prizes as you raise funds for an event and cause close to home: Bannockburn ES 4th grader and Cabin John resident, Lily Brown, lives with muscular dystrophy. You can also visit Lily’s Fundraising Page to make a donation.
This year, our Wheel-a-Thon is partnering with Team Cure CMD of the Million Dollar Bike Ride, U Penn’s annual rare disease fundraiser. Funds raised will support Collagen VI Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (CMD) research and U Penn will match donations. Last year, our Wheel-a-Thon raised $20,000 for two research projects exploring CRISPR gene editing to treat Collagen VI CMD.
