How Do I Receive A BES Directory?

The BES school directory is a great resource for busy parents- you definitely want one!

All BES families who join the PTA annually will receive a hard copy of the BES community directory (usually published in October) and access to the online directory.

If you join the PTA by October, you will automatically receive the hard copy school directory. There is no need to request a hard copy of the directory – it will either be delivered to you via your child’s backpack, or pick up will be coordinated at the school.

If you join the PTA at other times of the year, you will also receive a hard copy of the directory and access to the online directory.

Extra hard copies of the directory can be purchased by PTA members for $10 using the Membership toolkit app.

How Do I Join a PTA Committee?

Our PTA sponsors, organizes and produces an incredible number of events and activities throughout the school year. We are always eager for new volunteers! Click here to see the list of all our PTA committees and the committee chairs; please contact them if you are interested in helping. We want YOU.

How Do I Find out When the Next PTA Meeting is?

Generally speaking, all MCPS elementary schools hold their PTA meetings on the first Tuesday of the month. All PTA meetings are held in person at the school at 7 PM. Meeting reminders will be sent out via email. Bar-T provides childcare for $5 a child during meetings.

This year the BES PTA meetings will be on Oct. 3rd, Dec. 5th, March 5th, and June 4th.

If school is closed for weather related reasons on a PTA meeting date, the meeting will be cancelled and rescheduled.

How Do I Email My Kid’s Teacher?

How Do I Volunteer to Help with a PTA Event?

The PTA welcomes all volunteers! If you can’t commit to being an event lead or serving on a committee, no problem! Volunteer opportunities for individual events will be communicated via PTA newsletters and emails throughout the year. Often times, the PTA will utilize online sign ups to help secure volunteers.
